You have spent a great deal of time, work, and money in order to take a raw log and convert it to finished dimensioned lumber. All of the capital equipment and processes combined have added value to your finished product. The next step is to keep accurate records of your finished lumber and be able to keep track your inventory.

Add a Lumber Tag to Your Finished Products

A custom printed lumber tag complete with consecutive numbers and matching barcodes will help you to keep track of your inventory so you will always know the value of your inventory and where it is too. Your lumber tag can help you identify species, grade, length, thickness, board feet, layers, vendor, date, and any other possible data you wish to track.

Many Materials to Choose

Most lumber tags don't get exposed to harsh environmental conditions so a standard paper tag material may be suitable. For added durability or longevity, we can make your lumber tag out of any of the materials used for log tags...repulpable, digestible, or synthetic. We can help you decide which material is right for you.

Several Materials May Be Suitable for Your Lumber Tag

1. 13pt White Paper Tag - economical and used indoors only - not for outdoor use
2. 10pt White Wet Strength Tag - thin water resistant material - holds up outdoors
3. 13pt White Wet Strength Tag - heavier and more durable - holds up outdoors
4. 9.5pt White Vinylite - our most economical synthetic material - works very well outdoors
5. 10mil XT Film - heavy duty durable synthetic film for ultimate performance indoors & outdoors

Every Order is Custom Made So You Have Several Options to Choose

• Select from one of our many standard sizes or create your own custom size
• 1-part, 2-part, 3-part and other configurations can be made
• Cut singles and boxed
• Add a colored background, boxes, or stripes for easy identification
• Consecutive jumbo numbers for visibility
• Matching consecutive barcodes work with your existing data system
• Barcodes can include prefixes, suffixes, security check digits and special encodings
• Add your company name and logo, phone number, email, web address or whatever

Once we know what you need, we'll make a layout of your log tag and fax or email you a proof so you can see exactly what your tag will look like. Then you can make any changes or adjustments necessary before we actually make your tags.
